Show Parkers Return From Orient Cliff Parker and Alida Lid-diard Lid-diard Parker returned recently from a tour of the Orient. While in Japan they experienced the remarkable Bullet Train trip from Tokyo to Kyoto, a 300-mile journey accomplished at speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour. AN EARLY morning visit in Thailand to the famous Floating Market of Bangkok afforded a candid view of those who live and work along the busy canal. Singapore, Kuala Lampur and Seoul, Korea were on the itinerary also. While in Hong Kong the tourists went to the border of the Peoples Republic of China where they observed the soldiers sol-diers guarding the frontier and the farmers in the distant fields of the collective farms of communist Canton. IN TAIPEI, Taiwan (Formosa), (For-mosa), the travelers saw many of the art treasures brought in 1949 from the Chinese mainland by the late Chiang Kai-Shek.
