Show LaRue W. Taylor KAYSVILLE LaRue White Taylor, 82, of 288 S. 200 E., died Tuesday, Sept. 20, 1988 at a Roy rnursing home of cancer. :: She was born July 5, 1906 in St. -Anthony, Ida., a daughter of : Stephen Albert and Rosana Moore : White. :: She married Willie Raymond Cox, Nov. 3, 1933 in St. Anthony, :-'Ida. They were later divorced. She married Golden Ray Taylor, :May 17, 1963 in the Logan LDS Temple. : She was reared and educated in St. Anthony, Ida. where she graduated gradu-ated from high school. She also attended Ricks College in Rexburg, ;ida. for two years. She had lived in Brigham City, Mt. Vernon, Washington, Ogden and in Kaysvil-le Kaysvil-le since 1960. She was a member of the Kays-ville Kays-ville Second LDS Ward where she was active in ward and stake MIA, ' Sunday School, Relief Society and :was a visiting teacher. ; She had worked at Hill Air Force Base for 28 years before her retirement. retire-ment. ; She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, quilting and activities witn ner friends. She was a member of a -community study group and Daughters of Utah Pioneers Oak-leaf Oak-leaf Camp. Surviving are her husband of Kaysville; one son Boyd R. Cox, Kaysville; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Bud (Shirley) Larkin, Darby, Mont.; Mrs. Roger (Karen) San-dall, San-dall, Albuquerque, New Mexico; six grandchildren and seven greatgrandchildren. great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Emory (Blanche) Secrist, St. Anthony, Ida. ; Mrs. Vaughn (Charlotte) (Char-lotte) Mason, Providence; Mrs. Rell (Verna) Bigler, Seattle, Wash. She was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers. Funeral directors, Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary. Bishop Paul S. Willard officiated at funeral services on Sept. 24. Family prayer was offered by Emory Secrist; prelude, lone Grange; invocation, Jerry Secrist; remarks, Bishop Paul S., Willard; life sketch, Boyd Cox; speaker, Lowell Taylor; "How Great Thou Art" by Joe Hill; speaker, L.D. Covington; "I Heard Him Come" by Ginger and Connie Cox; benediction, be-nediction, Harold Slade. Dedication of the grave was by Troy Cox with interment in the Kaysville City Cemetery. Pallbearers were Kendall Ence, Dave Reeder, Jess Coulam, Smith Evans, Alvin Kinsey and Morris Johnson. |
