Joan was born in Helena, Mont., Oct. 5, 1940 to Benjamin P. Gunn Evans and Mabel Leona Tobin. She spent her youth in Helena. Attended B YU where she met Jerry. Jer-ry. They were married in the Salt Lake LDS Temple June 22, 1960. Joan will be remembered for her zest for life along with her compassion compas-sion and concern for others. Active member of the Bountiful 41st Ward, she served in many church callings. She spent a great deal of time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed watching as well as participating partici-pating in all types of sporting activities. acti-vities. Survived by husband, Jerry, Bountiful; sons and daughters, , Kevin L. Butt, Kaysville; Carolyn Sue Bliss, Salt Lake City; Craig E. Butt, Simi Valley, Calif.; Andrea Lynn Abbott, North Salt Lake; parents, pa-rents, Ben and Mary Evans, Helena, Hele-na, Mont. Also sisters, Brenda Neuens-I Neuens-I wander, Bountiful; Susan Davis, Kalispell, Mont.; Debbie Dahl, Austin, Tex.; brothers, Larry Evans, Houston, Tex.; Steven JOAN KARYL EVANS BUTT Evans, Kaysville; and two grandchildren. grand-children. Joan was preceded in death by her mother. Graveside services were held Sept. 19 at the Bountiful City Cemetery. The family suggests contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
