He is being treated in the local hospital. Relatives from St. George and Washington motored to New Castle Wednesday to attend the funeral services for Mrs. Thomas Forsythe who died there Sunday following a long illness. She was the former Mina Pearce of Washington. Wash-ington. Her obituary will appear in the News next week. Mrs. Mary A. Seegmiller returned re-turned home Tuesday from attending at-tending the funeral of her brother, George Piatt in New Castle. Miss Ellen Carter, who has been suffering from pneumonia the past week was taken to the McGregor hospital Wednesday afternoon, where she is reported making improvement. Miss Helen Avery of Kanosh, is the most recent registrant at the girls' dormitory of the Dixie junior college. This brings the number to 14, with ail of the former members returning from their holiday vacations. Mr. and Mrs. James S. Abbott entertained at a family reunion at their home in Bunkerville during the Christmas week. All 11 of their living children with their families were present. Mr. and Mrs. Gus Pendleton and children attended from St. George. Mrs. Ruth Fuller accompanied them. Mr. and Mrs. Ross Keat with their son and daughter arrived Wednesday from Los Angeles to attend the funeral services of their father, Julius O. Keate. Mrs. Milton Cottam, who has been caring for Mrs. Antone B. Prince for the past month, returned re-turned Monday to her home in Los Angeles. She was accompanied accom-panied by her nephew, Clayton Prince and by Wayne Whitehead who are attending school there. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Hardy were guests Tuesday to Saturday noon of Mr. and Mrs. Sherman C. Hardy of this city, visiting relatives rela-tives enroute to Phoenix, Ariz, where they will spend the remainder re-mainder of the winter. , Mrs. Lloyd Bleak and Miss Alice Thompson were hostesses at a dinner party given December 29 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Earl J. Games were played following dinner. Karl Foster is home from the Enterprise school, suffering with absecesses in his throat. . He expects ex-pects to return by the end of this week. Ella Neilson left Tuesday for Los Angeles for a visit of several weeks with friends and relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Dan Bullitts and Tom Indian from Moccasin, Ariz., were here for the ceremonial dances given at the Shivwits' reservation. Among the 405 who attended were dancers from Moapa, Peach Springs, Ariz, and Richfield. Mrs. Ruth C. Cook returned Saturday from spending a week with friends in California. Several couples from St. George attended the party given in Santa Clara New Year's night by Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Frei. Born, a daughter to Mr. and Mrs. Ray Hunt of Enterprise on December 24.
