Lee and family returned Sunday from Elsinore where they had been visiting vis-iting relatives for a few weeks. While away, Mr. Lee, in company with his mother, Mrs. H. S. Bell and his brother Hilmer Lee, enjoyed en-joyed a trip into the Uinta Basin, Ba-sin, and report some splendid fishing trips. Miss Shirley Bentley, Marion Lee and Evelyn Guererro returned re-turned Sunday from Salt Lake City where they enjoyed their vacations. -st- -zv-Mrs. Annie Bleak and family of iSalt Lake City, who have been visiting relatives here the past few weeks, are spending this week with relatives in Las Vegas. Mrs. Lovinia Allen returned Tuesday from Panguitch where she spent the summer. iShe was accompanied by her daughter, Miss Adelia who will spend ten days visiting here. E. L. Jarvis and son Joseph and E. M. Daisley and son, Ed of Salt Lake City, who spent a few days here visiting, left on Tuesday for Prescott( Arizona on business. They were accompanied accompan-ied by Fred Ward who will visit for a short time there before returning to his home at Springfield, Spring-field, Missouri. Mr. and Mrs. William T. Morris, Mor-ris, Sr., returned August 14, from Sanford, Colorado where they spent their vacation. This is the first visit Mr. Morris has been to that place since leaving there 35 years ago. In his honor a social was held which all his former choir members attended attend-ed and he had the privilege of leading them in some of the songs they used to sing. Mrs. Annie Webb attended the party given by James Jepson in Hurricane the fore part of the week and reports a splendid time, there being relatives and friends present from all over Utah and Idaho. On Monday members of the party attended a lawn party at the home of Mrs. Nephi Workman and at night in the town hall, Mr. Jepson Jep-son gave an old, time program and dance. The evening was spent dancing old time dances and the music was furnished by an old time orchestra. There were over 200 married people present. The day Tuesday was spent at the St. G-eorge Temple. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Reese and family of OrdBrville were visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Linder here last week. Miss Nellie Cox has returned from Provo where she has been attending the B. Y. U. TT -St- Tv- Born, a daughter to Mr. and Mrs. Grant Hafen of Santa Clara Saturday, August 25, at the local hospital. i i' Word has been received here of the serious 'illness of Mrs. Ether Wood at the Iron County hospital. She is suffering from plural pneumonia. Her sister, Miss Ellen Carter is there with her. .it. Jl. He will study accountancy. tS 01 The South Ward Relief Society So-ciety will give an old style concert con-cert and dance, with an old time orchestra, old time floor manager and old time costumes, at the Pavilion Friday, August 31, at 8:30. All over 12 are invited. There will be no admission admiss-ion fee but a contribution box will be at the door. Gordon Hjutchings returned Thursday morning from Ogden. He has spent the summer there with h'is grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. Hunt spent a month here, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Foremaster spent the week-end here enroute en-route from a vacation in the Yellowston Park and Mr. and Mrs. Congrove were here for the week-end. -I'f S Mr. and Mrs. O.
