Show 4B THE GREEN SHEET Thursday, May Schools 22, 1986 Talbot, Wilson Are Elected At Granger GRANGER. Senior and junior class officers for the 1986-8school year have been elected at Granger high. Rick Wilson will serve as president of the junior class and Travis Talbot as senior class president. The Wilson lad, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Wilson, was unopposed in the final election. He will be assisted by Daren Cox, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dale W. Cox, vice president. He ran against 7 Amber Lord. Susan Rappley, daughter of Patricia Rappley, is secretary. Her opponent was Delia Harami. Kim Jacobs, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ramon Jacobs, and Lisa Whitlock, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Whitlock, will serve as ALO representatives. They defeated Melinda Bushman and Ann Marie Myrberg. The Talbot youth is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Talbot. His opponent was Dave Wall. Lara Parker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne M. Parker, defeated Jerry Hiatt for the position of vice president. Bonnie Simmons defeated Angie Mares for the secretarial post. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn ALO officers for the senior class will be Julie Brock, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glen E. Brock; Kendall Pasborg, son of Sharon Pasborg and Leslie Draper, whose parents are Mr. and Mrs. Terry K. Draper. Kennedy To Display Talent Next Week GRANGER. Students at Kennedy junior high will host the annual Crusader Knight next week. The event will run from 1 to 3 and from 5 to 8 p.m. on May 29. Also known as Kennedy on Parade, the event highlights activities in all areas of the school, with displays and demonstrations in all departments. A dance and orchestra concert will be included, and students will display their work in arts and crafts, shop classes, cooking and academic areas. Erica Deal, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Deal, defeated Julie Gourley in the race for first vice president. Julie Fuller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leslie G. Fuller, will serve as secretary. Her opponent was Steffame Swift. Lynette Condie will serve as historian. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Condi, she ran against Jan Willardson. We welcome the new officers and want to commend this years group who have done an outstanding job and given the student body some excellent projects and assemblies, said spokesman Louise Rounds. Congratulations to the baseball team on the shutout victory over Kearns. The 4A state baseball tournament is excitement the whole family will enjoy. The top ranking teams in the state will battle it out next Tuesday at Derks field and Wednesday at the Ken Price field in Murray park. Taylorsville traditionally does very well at the state baseball tournament and this year the Warriors will again be a contender to watch for. Monday night was the annual talent contest and art fair at Taylorsville. In the commons area, beautiful hand made wood furniture, painted art, drawn art, abstract photographs and a fashion show was watched and wandered through. Inside the auditorium, Warriors were competing for cash prizes in the talent show. Michele Angelos was winner. Heather the Davidson, Valerie Lewis and Phil Arnold placed consecutively in the senior class. Juniors Sharalee Sayler, Carrie Sabourin, Trent Oliphant and Perry Jones took first in the Junior category with a violin ensemble. Lynette Eliason and Dan Reavis took second and third. For the class of 88, Kaylene Barth placed first, followed by Loni Panhorse and Dawn Hall. Congratulations to all these winners on their performances and prizes.
