Students from Kearns high are being invited to celebrate Halloween with Abominable Dr. the Phibbs and to add to the chills and thrills by visiting a spook alley sponsored by the Key club. Student Body officers are sponsoring the movie, which will be shown at 7 p.m. tomorrow (Friday). The spook alley will open immediately following the movie. The cost for both events is $2 and just $1 for the spook alley alone. Chris Williams and Jackie Riedeman are in charge of the spook alley. Key Club officers this year are Frank Morris, president; Kelly Parry, vice president; Chris Carlson, secretary and David Cowsert, treasurer. Dan Park and Laren Olsen are faculty advisers to the club. One objective for the student counselors is to introduce sophomores and new students to the school, she said. Peer counselors show the incoming student around, introduce him or her to teachers, to class and student body officers, to clubs and activities and generally make the entry into a new, and large, school easier, she explained. They also serve as a support system to the schools counselors, she said. A peer counselor is in the counseling center through every class period, ready and available should any student want to drop in and talk, for any reason.
