Show 3 WVC Elections Yield Interesting Race Facts WEST VALLEY. Two weeks have elapsed since municipal elections were held in West Valley City. Election reported council candidate Bob Christensen received only 33 percent of the vote in his home District 9. Nevertheless, Christensen managed to win majorities in nine of the 35 other districts. -large elsewhere. There are, however, a few facts and figures behind the headlines which may be of interest to voters. Family Week for the State of Utah. Spokesman Linda Williams said the observation is designed to remind citizens that the family is societys most fundamental institu22-2- 8 tion. The governor's proclamation also states that a good family contributes to the good of its members and the community, and that the relationship between families and society reflects the health of the nation. Since Thanksgiving week is traditionally a time for celebrating the importance of family life and its role in society, it is the obvious choice for Family Week, she commented.
