Show Couldn't Down Hanna. Columbus, 0., June 4. The Republican Republi-can state convention nominated George K. Nash, the favorite of Sena-ator Sena-ator Hanna, for governor, and ex-Congressman John A. Caldwell, the favorite favor-ite of George B. Cox, for lieutenant governor, with the other five nominations nomina-tions distributed among those of less distinct party affiliations. What was generally called the Hanna-Cox combination com-bination controlled a large majority of the 813 delegates, but it did not exercise ex-ercise its power beyond the nominations nomina-tions of Nash and Caldwell. |
