Show Mi ZION PARK STAKEPERFECTS ORGANIZATION All Auxiliary Officers Have Been Selected and Work Has Been Started by Different Dif-ferent Auxiliary Groups The organization of the Zion Park stake which was created at the December conference here, was completed Sunday at Hurricane with the installation of presidencies of the auxiliary organizations, the? naming of four additional high council members and the appomt-ment appomt-ment of a stake clerk. The new stake comprises Sprlngdale, Roek-ville, Roek-ville, Hurricane North and South. Toquerville, La Verkin and Virgin wards and the Short Creek and Cane Beds branches. The stake presidency which was sustained at the time the stake was created consists of Claud Hirschi of Hurricane, James Judd of La Verkin Ver-kin and Russell B. Swenson, seminary semi-nary instructor at Hurricane. Eight high council members were named at the December session here and are as follows: James Jep-son, Jep-son, David Hirschi, Morris Wilson, Jr., John E. Sanders, Alvin Engle-stead, Engle-stead, Harvey Jackson, John R. Crawford and Marvin Terry. The additional four sustained Sunday were J. Harvey Hall, James N. Spendlove and Geo. W. Gibson of Hurricane, and Henry W. Gubler of La Verkin. Robt. P. Woodbury was named stake clerk. Following are the officers named nam-ed for the auxiliary organizations: High Priests' Quorum Jos. W. Webb, president; Wm. K. Graff, first counselor and John T. Beatty, second counselor; Amos Workman, secretary. Relief Society Josephine Sand-berg, Sand-berg, president; Augusta Wood, first counselor; Mary A. Gubler. La Verkin, second counselor, and Mary W. Hall, secretary. Primary Association Rhode Prince, president; Mina Hinton, first counselor; Areta Cox Church, second counselor, and Ellen S. Wittwer, secretary. Y. M. M. I. A. (Win. r. Woodbury president; Stanley Bradshaw, first counselor; Vernon Church, second! counselor, and Reed Bradshaw secretary. Y. L. M. I. A. Stake superintendent of Junior SeminariesEzra Tobler, Toquerville. Toquer-ville. The services were held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock and were attended by about 400 persons. John Wells of the presiding bishopric was present. Talks were given by the heads of the departments. Musical numbers were rendered by a vocal trio from Hurricane, a male quartet from La Verkin. a double mixed quartet from the Hurricane school under the direction direc-tion of Karl Larson, and a brass quartet under the direction of Mr. Larson. The opening prayer was offered by B. F. LeBaron and benediction was by Alvin Englestead of the high council. . t; . |
