Show Miss LaRue Stephensen and S.Sgt. Nord O. Brockbank Marry In Vegas A late May marriage of local interest in-terest was that of S.Sgt. Nord O. Brockbank of St. George and Miss LaRue Stephensen of Holden, Utah. Justice of the Peace Paul C. O'Mally read the civil ceremony cere-mony in Las Vegas, Monday evening, eve-ning, May 24. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B. J. Stephensen of Holden, and the groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Orlin Brockbank of this city. SSgt. Brockbank is home on furlough after spending several months in the Hawaiian Islands and will be assigned to U. S. duty. He was joined in St. George Sunday by Miss Stephensen. Steph-ensen. The couple returned from Las Vegas and vicinity Wednesday afternoon. Accompanied bv the groom's parents and his grandmother, grand-mother, Mrs. J. P. Brockbank of Salt Lake City, who has been visiting vis-iting in St. George for two weeks. The bride and groom left this (Thursday) morning for Holden and Salt Lake City, where they will visit with relatives who are planning entertainments in their honor. On their return from northern Utah they plan to be remarried in the St. George Temple, prior to S.Sgt. Brockbank's return to Camp San Luis Obispo, from where he will receive his next assignment. |
