Show Miss Avonell Reber And Meryln Milne Married September 22 Miss Avonell Rebel", of Santa Clara and Joseph Merlyn Milne of St. Ge orge were united in marriage? mar-riage? September 22 in a beautifully beauti-fully arranged wedding ' in the St. George soutii ward chapel, with Pp. Andrew McArthur officiating. of-ficiating. The ceremony took place before an altar banked with roses and gladioli with Miss Elaine Sandberg and Miss Barbara Bar-bara Hirschi, school friends of the bride as her attendants and the groom's brother, Orval Milne, of Salt Lake City, as best man. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leo F. Reber of Santa Clara and the groom, a son 01 IVii. and ivirs. josepn o. Milne of this city. The bride was gowned in white satin with a flowing train-length veil of white silk net and lace and carried a boquet of roses and ferns. The bridesmaids wore harmonizing gowns of white and blue chiffon and carried bouquets of gladioli. During the ceremony Mrs. Mae A. Pace presided at the console. A selected program lasting an hour followed the marriage with Prof. Maurice J. Miles as master of ceremonies. Numbers included a banjo solo, by Bob Kenworthy; a violin solo, by Mrs. Ellis Everett; vocal duets by Mrs. Alice Cannon and Mrs. Melba Baker; solos by Dilworth M. Snow and Miss Noma Andrus and a reading by Emily Brooks. George Whipple and Gene Gregerson, intimate friends of the groom with a group ot associates, put over a humorous stunt. The remainder of the evening was devoted to dancing, with refreshments re-freshments being served in the chapel dining room. The serving table was centered with a three-tier three-tier wedding cake made by Mrs. James McArthur. There were pink princesses tapers in crystal can-, dlebra at either end of the table. More than 250 attended. At a late hour the bride and groom departed on their honeymoon honey-moon to the coast, planning to visit in Los Angeles and attend the fair in San Francisco. They will return to make their home in St. George about October 1. |
