Show Tuneral Services Held Saturday At Leeds For Mrs. Annie Wright LEEDS, Utah. Funeral services were held in the Leeds L. D. S. ward chapel Saturday, April 8, at 2 p. m., for Mrs. Annie Hansen Wright, 66, who died at the Anderson An-derson Rest Home, Pintura, Thursday, Thurs-day, April 6th of Bright's disease, after an extended illness. Counselor Coun-selor Lawrence McMullin conducted con-ducted the program. Music for the services included vocal quartets "Behold, 'Tis Eventide", Even-tide", and "Somewhere the Sun Is Shining", by Mrs. C. E. Allen, Mrs. Vere McMullin, Mrs. Mildred Jolley and Mrs. Stanley Fuller, accompanied by Mrs. Leland Sullivan; Sul-livan; vocal duet, "One Fleeting Hour", Mrs. Allen and Mrs. Jolley; Jol-ley; and a piano solo, "Abide With Me", by Mrs. Walter Eagar, who also was accompanist for the other numbers. Speakers were Mrs. Parley E. Harris of St. George and Riley C. Savage of Leeds. Mrs. Harris gave an interesting review of the life of the deceased, telling of her faithful care of her aged parents, her quiet kindly life and her uncomplaining, calm acceptance of long years of affliction, giving many scriptural quotations and sermonizing on the eternity of life. Mr. Savage also paid tribute to the Hansen family and to the deceased for her unoffending and generous life of service to others. Mrs. Margaret McMullin also read the poem, "There Is No Death", and a special tribute to the decreased de-creased in original verse was written writ-ten by Andrea Carson. Prayers were by Edward McMullin Mc-Mullin and David Stirling and the grave in the Leeds cemetery was dedicated by Charles E. Allen. Born in Condor Canyon, Nev., Annie Hansen Wright was a daughter of Peter and Andrea Ipson Hansen. The family moved to Leeds when she was a young girl. She was married in St George in 1903 to Ernest W. Wright, who has been deceased for several years. They had one son, Charles E. Wright, who survives. sur-vives. Other survivors are three sisters, Mrs. Christina Wardell. San Francisco; Mrs. Sadie Mort-ensen Mort-ensen of Parowan; and Mrs. Minnie Min-nie Harris of Leeds, and one brother, Charles F. Hansen of St. George. |
