Show 2 DIE IN WRECKS NEAR CEDAR CITY A sailor, named Norbak, and Geo. Gumsey of Los Angeles, met their deaths in two auto accidents near Cedar City during the past week. Norbak, on furlough, and on his way home to Pueblo, Colo., was riding rid-ing in the rear seat when the machine ma-chine was sideswiped by another car. He was killed instantly. Gurnsey was driving north immediately immedi-ately behind a Pickwick bus. and when near Win hollow, he attempted attempt-ed to pass the bus and met a Chevrolet Chevro-let truck hcadon. There was not enough room on the road for all three cars and the front wheels of the Chevrolet and Gurnsey's car struck, the impact turning the Gurnsey Gurn-sey car across the road directly in front of the bus. which hit it broadside with almost full speed.; the driver having no chance to slow j down. Gumsey was knocked un-conscious un-conscious and brought to the Cedar City hospital w'.-.ere he died Just as he was being placed on the operating op-erating table. ! i |
