Show TALAXTED CARTOONIST. Good Work Done By Young Son of fjlder Felt, of Utah. Chattanooga (Tenn.) Times. The cartoon on the first page of today's to-day's Times, so aptly illustrating the political situation in this country today, was conceived and drawn by Vernon Felt, of Springville, Utah, son of Elder D. P. Felt of this city, editor of the Southern Star, the Mormon organ of the southern states. Young Felt is but slightly past 15 years of age. yet he has evinced extraordinary talent as a cartoonist, his work having been accepted ac-cepted and complimented by the Denver Den-ver Post and other leading newspapers of the west. Young Felt's precoctous-ness precoctous-ness is all the more remarkable from the fact that he has never had any special training. The cartoon also appeared in the Salt Lake Herald for Sunday, March 12th, under the title "Uncle Sam has an elephant on his hands." Ed. News. m m |
