Samuel Knight & Sous have had a neat sign painted over their store. Joseph Whittwer has returned from the branch Normal school at Cedar City. Edward Frei has returned from Salt Lake City, where he attended Mutual conference. Jacob Gubler has come in from White River for his family, who will accompany him on his return. Ahvise Bauer and family have moved to the Cedar mountain, where they will carry on a dairy business this summer. George Tobler is home from the White River valley. He is well pleased pleas-ed with that country and has purchased purchas-ed land there. On Fast Sunday. June 4th, a daughter of Lorenzo and Susie Leavitt, and a son of Arnold and Eliza Stueki were blessed. Four children were baptised. Elders Morris and Bunting, of St. George, attended Sunday School and meeting on the 4th inst., and gave us good instructions and bore their testimonies testi-monies of the truth of the Gospel. What might have been a fatal accident acci-dent occurred on the 4th inst. to Anna Mary Reber, Sr. The aged lady was doing some outdoor chore when she suddenly fell head foremost clown the cellar steps, a distance of six or seven feet, alighting on solid rock. She is in a critical condition. |
