It is open to the public and will include a parade, fire works, midway, games and rides, athletic contests, food concessions, softball game, pie eating contest, teen dance and a chuckwagon breakfast. There will also be many free prizes. The theme of the parade will be Pioneers of 63 and anyone may enter a float or participate. A number of door prizes will be given and the winner must be present to win. at in-Ut- 7 p.m. Beautiful Carol Lynn, who recently won the Miss Kearns Contest, sponsored by the Jaycees, is a graduate of Granger High School. She will also be entered by the Jaycees in the Miss Utah Contest to be held in June, 1964. The County Fair Sweetheart will be chosen by a team of impartial judges on the basis of beauty and personality. Gus Sorenson of the Salt Lake Tribune is general chairman of the contest. The sweetheart contest will be open to the general public, and residents of Kearns are urged to turn out and support Miss Kearns. tug-o-wa- Annual Granger Lions Club Carnival Slated for July 20, The Annual Granger Lions Club Carnival will be held at the Granger Park located at 3500 South and 3600 West Friday and Saturday, July 19 and 20. According to Ivan Woodbury, general chairman of the event, plans have been made to make this years carnival the biggest and VFW Post 9322 Plans Games Night The Walker Neal Snyder VFW Post 9322 and Auxiliary will hold a games night Saturday, July 13, at 8 p.m. in the old Kearns Shopping Center in the area formerly occupied by the Kearns Drug.
