Show "WOUld'you follow fol-low THE CROWD" By Jennie L. Potter Would you follow the crowd, or would you take the way of truth and right. Trully, the straight and narrow way find few followers; follow-ers; but Jesus will lead those that care to find the light, up the straight and narrow way, high to the mountain top, where all is glorious to behold where those who are willing to follow him, may see the setting sun in all its grandeur and brilliancy, where no one but God could paint such a picture. We that have come out boldly against the liquor trade, have such a leader. One that does not follow the crowd, but leads us in our thoughts and actions, against what I consider one of the worst evils of the day. Beer to tempt our young. Wine to deaden their brain so they can do crime without with-out the thought of the price that they must pay.. You who profess pro-fess Christianity must unite and talk, pray and preach to convince the voter that beer and wine shall not be placed" before our children, for a few dollars revenue the state might collect, Mr. Voter, money isn't all there is to this life of toil and service; would you have our boys and girls pay the price of such in 'order to lessen your taxes or satisfy your selfish desire. Prohibition must go forward, it means contentment in the home, dollars in the safety box, and better environment for the boys and girls. Voter let us stop the serpent that is holding our nation on the broadway to destruction you can't afford to drift with the current or . follow the crowd. Would you have faith in the Master, Mas-ter, then follow him and not the crowd. For wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging, and who so ever is deceived there by is not wise. So said the wise man of old. Let our motto be this. "No beer and wine for our fair Utah." , ( |
