Show DUCHESNE Mrs. E. H. Peterson and daught er Myrle and Mrs. Joe Cowan were Salt Lake visitors this week. o Howard Cowan left Sunday for Salt Lake. He and his brother Shirley have employment at the Utah-Idaho Sugar Factory. Mrs. Joe Cowan and Mrs. Ros3 Robertson and daughter Ethel from South Dakota were calling on friends in Roosevelt Friday. Mr. and Mrs. B. L. Spratt and son Laird were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Brennick last ; Saturday evening, dinner was ser ved and later cards were played. Eirney C. District Court convened for ' n short, session Friday afternoon, with Judge Abe Turner on the Bench and F. M. Alder, as court reporter. A few probate and Law and Motion cases were heard. Arthur Brown accompanied by Mrs. Joe Brown and children motored to Salt Lake City, Sunday, remaining until Wednesday Wed-nesday when Mr. and Mrs. Brown returned home, leaving Mrs. Joe Brown and children there. Little Bobby Brown is having a defect in his foot corrected. o The Poulson brothers and Dr. Bishop left Tuesday for Holden for a deer hunt. The evening was spent in playing cards after which delicious refreshments were served. Orr, Mrs. R. M. Pope, Mrs. Clarence Wilson and Mrs L. C. Winslow. company. J. E. Hunkey of Denver passed through Duchesne Friday enroute to Myton, where he owns a ranch. Mr. and Mrs. Hunkey were residents resid-ents of Myton for several years, prior to going to Denver. B. L. Dart and C. T. Beggs of Myton were transacting business in town Friday. o Guy J. Hollenbeck, State Road Foreman, made a business trip to Price Wednesday. o R. S. Jordan and Ray E. Dill-man Dill-man of Roosevelt were transacting business in Duchesne Monday. Arthur Havener of Price, State Road Patrolman was in town on official business Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Jens Nielson celebrated cel-ebrated their Golden Anniversary at the home of their daughter, Mrs. Heber Goff, Monday, October 16th. About 60 persons were present. Many from Colorado and Salt Lake. The P. T. A. Club held its opening open-ing social at the town Hall Thursday Thurs-day evening. A very good program prog-ram was given and the evening spent in playing games. Apples were served to the guests. Word has ' been received from Mrs. George S. Bowers that she is enjoying a visit with relatives in Rocky Ford, Colorado, at the present time Leslie Maxwell of Altonah was a business visitor in Duchesne ' Wednesday. Commissioner G. V. Billings and County Clerk William H. Case made a trip to Salt Lake City Wednesday in the interest of the R. F. C. Mrs. Elmer Mickelson and Son Max from Salt Lake City were visiting in Duchesne over the week end. Mr. .nd Mrs. Earl Gagon of Salt Lake City were calling on friends in Duchesne Sunday. ' t |
