Show Lindon Days Set to Begin on August 2 The annual Lindon Days Celebration-will begin with the Night Out Against Crime will be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at 7 p.m. at your neighborhood neigh-borhood park. Lindon Days events will include the Trail Ride and Dinner Din-ner on Saturday, August 6, starting start-ing at 3 p.m. at the Dry Canyon Trail Head. The city wants to make this ride available to a few young riders who don't have access to a horse. If your child is interested, sign up for the drawing at the city center. cen-ter. Winners will be notified if selected to participate in the ride. The Lindon Days Golf Tournament will be held on Friday, August 5, 201 1 at 3:30 p.m. The Criterium Street Bike Race will occur on Wednesday, Wednes-day, August 10, 2011. This event will start at 6 p.m. and details and registration are available on the Lindon City web site. Traditional Lindon Days events will also include Splash and Swim on Monday, August 8 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Aquatics Center, and a Senior Dance at the Community Center beginning begin-ning at 7 p.m. The Car Show will be held at the Lindon City Park from 4 to 9 p.m. Funds for the new Veterans Memorial Memo-rial at the city cemetery will be raised during the car show. Thursday activities include Huck Finn Days at the Creek Side Park at 6 p.m. and Horse-n-Around at 6 p.m. Fridays will feature the Lindon Days Fair, Mayor's Candy Scramble, Youth Dance at the Community Center at 8 p.m. Saturday's events will conclude the celebration with the 5KKids Fun Run, Flag Raising Ceremony at 7: 15 a.m., Pancake Breakfast, Grand Parade Pa-rade beginning at 8 a.m., Lindon Lin-don Days Fair, Mini Rodeo at the Arena starting at 6 p.m. and a concert and fireworks at Pheasant Brook Park at 8 p.m. |
