Show STATE AND UNCLE SAM TO MAKE RABIES FIGHT Gov. William Spry has addressed telegrams to Senator Reed H Smoot nnd Senator George Sutherland nt Washington, D. C, ns)v H ing them to work in connection with other Western senators in H securing an appropriation to eradicate the rabies trouble in tho H states affected by the scourge through coyotes. Ho has also wired H William Sands, division superintendent of tho federal biological H survey at San Francisco, asking that Sands send to Utah the thir- H teen government trappers under his direction, to work to prevent H the invasion into this state of the dread disease. 9 Dr. T. B. Bcatty, secretary of the slate board of health, has re- H eclved two replies to his letter sent to the health officers of Wes- H tern Slates asking for a conference to consider means for destroy- H ing tho coyotes on tho ranges. The replies come from the health H officers of Wyoming nnd Idaho. Tho Wyoming official says tho H state contingent fund may not bo used to cnnblo state officers to H attend conferences outside the state, und while he will bo unable to- H attend any meeting, ho is in till sympathy with the purpose of the H conference and will do everything possible to help. H Tho Idnho official says ho had just attended n similnr confer- H enco with tho officials of three states, but would co-opcrato with H the other state health officers in measures to stamp out the rabies.
