An entertainment under the aua. pices of tho local lodge, Hrotherhood of American Yeomen, held In Masonlo Halt Tuesday evening, wa a grand success. There wero present all tho members, about twenty-five In number, num-ber, and nbout thirty or forty Invited guests. The evening wa spent In dancing and card playing previous to which the order held a abort meeting meet-ing In tho lodge room. The order Is just coming back to life since a year ago and It Is the purpose of the members to encourage entertain tents and educate tho people to clean and wholesome pleasure. Members of tho order present were W, K. Anderson, H. C. Smith, C. A. Franks nnd wife. 15, Ilernardl, Arthur Hunten, Dr. nnd Mrs. H. r. Chnmberlnln. B. I Gray and I K. Wood. Inlted guests wero Mr. and Mrs. Matt CJIImour, Mrs. 1J. C. Smith, Mrs. It. C. Clreen, Mr. and Mrs. I A. McOee, tho Misses Waned Ilobb, I.lbby Wilson, Maud Wilson, Sophia Hardy and Ilornlco Myers, and Messrs. Nick Ilernardl, Clyde Fullmer and Krwin Ward. There wero thirteen now applications applica-tions presented for membership In the order nnd they nlso wero present and participating In tho entertainment. Theso wero Ouy Thomas, Clarence Iloblnett, I'lorencu K. Anderson, Mildred Mil-dred Hamilton, Mrs. W. V. Myers, It. N. Pllcher, K. B. Jensen, Tom Anton, James Wade. It. C, Oreen, Barl King, J, Holly McDonald and Arthur J. Lee. Tho Yeomen meet every two weeks In Masonlo Hall and from all Indications Indica-tions they will have a large order before be-fore tho winter closes. Thero Is to be a big "watermelon bust" In tho course of the next two weeks and Invitations to members nnd their friends who might be Interested In the order will bo mailed. |
