Show K1WANIS CLUB DEEGATES ARECHOSEN District Convention To Be Attended By Local i Chamber Members of the Trovo Kiwanis club will attend the annual convention conven-tion of the Utah-Idaho district, which is to be held at Pocatello, Idaho, August 24 and 23. Official delegates of the local club whlgh were chosen at a recent meeting are: Jacob Coleman, J. A. Bullock, Judge George A. Ballif, J. N. Ellert-son, Ellert-son, Marl; Anderson, Walter Adams, Henry Jnckson nnd Jos. C. Clark. The convention of the Utah-Idaho district is but one of the twenty-nine twenty-nine of Kiwanis International to be held this fall for the yearly election elec-tion of district officials nnd to outline out-line policies for 11)25-20. The programs pro-grams will be devoted to interesting interest-ing international subjects and activities activ-ities and will include prominent speakers on world topics. The enr-ryig enr-ryig on of the under-priviledged child work, one of the major objectives objec-tives of Kiwanis, will be given thorough consideration at the convention con-vention it being the desire that this undertaking may be intensified during dur-ing the coming year, occording to local Kiwnniana One of the big features of the convention will be a special exhibit made up of displays of Kiwanis activities ac-tivities of this district and of Kiwanis Ki-wanis International. All clubs within with-in this jurisdiction are sending in exhibit material which will be shown to thousands attending the sessions, the Kiwaninns of Provo will have this opportunity of viewing view-ing the good work being done by other clubs of this vicinity. The Provo club is given some recognition rec-ognition on the program. Jacob Coleman, who is the district chairman chair-man of the laws and regulations committee has a paper prepared to give at the convention. "Walter Adams will give the response to the address of welcome, which in and of itself, is a distinct honor to Mr. Adams' ability and to the Provo club, members state. The local club is working quietly for some of the district officers for the ensuing year. Friends of Walter Wal-ter Adams are urging him to accept the nomination for the district governorship. gov-ernorship. Should he accept and should the convention see fit to give him this responsibility the local club members feel that the district is to be congratulated on having a, man with the ability and higfi ideals as Mr. Adams possess for its chief executive. |
