With Mrs. George Ballif of Provo, national commit tee woman of the Legion auxiliary, scheduled : to speak, the monthly meeting of ! the local auxiliary to be held Wednesday Wed-nesday evening, December 2, promises prom-ises to be of special interest. The meeting will be held in the Firemen's Fire-men's hall, rather than at a home, as has been the previous custom. Due to the gradual increase in the auxiliary membership, entertaining in homes has become difficult. An excellent program is arranged for Wednesday evening. All members and those eligible to join axe urged ; to be present. j Mrs. Ray Whiting entertained a large group or children at a birth- , day party for her little -laughter, Carolyn, last' Tuesday afternoon Games and refreshments were pleasant features of ihe rtfiair. A. met Tuesday evening at ihe Third ward chapel to view a sample of the treasure book called "Treasures of Truth," a project worked on by members of the Gleaner class. Instructions regarding regard-ing data to be compiled in the book were given. Members of the Social Twelve club were guests Thursday evening of Mrs. Harry Pennington. Present Pres-ent were Mrs. Ora Rowland, Mrs. Emma Rowland, Mrs. Hilda Grant. Mrs. Gwen Baxter, Mrs. Esther Johnson, Mrs. Philda Finley, Mrs. Ella Crandall, Mrs. Lois Clegg, Mrst Gertrude Sumsion, Mrs. Hazel Har-. rison, Mrs. Manilla Brown and Mrs. Emma Kennedy. The latter received re-ceived hig hscore favor during the evening of bridge. A delicious j luncheon as served by the hostess. The anntial guest day of the Home Culture club was held Friday at the home of Mrs. C. O. Claudin, with Mrs. E. S. Groesbeck assisting assist-ing hostess. During the afternoon Mrs. Ida S. Dusenberry of Provo, gave an interesting review of her recent European tour. Musical selections were furnished by Russell Rus-sell Hales and Coleen Claudin; Elmer Jacobsen of Spanish Fork, played the violin accompanied by his mother; Mrs. Zoe Clark of Provo Pro-vo sang two vocal solos. Luncheon Lunch-eon was served in conclusion to about fifty members and guests in I attendance. Members of the Ava Delma club were guests Tuesday evening of Mrs. Helen Beardall. Lunch was served early in the evening after which bridge was played. Prizes went to Mrs. Margaret Zabriskie and Mrs. Vera Zabriskie. Others present were Mrs. Neva Kindred, Mrs. Virginia Harker, Mrs. Carrie Tripp, Mrs. Camille Taylor, Mi 3. Birdie Thorpe, Mrs. Viola Smitn and Mrs. Helen Thorpe, the latte-being latte-being a guest. Members of the Young People's society of the Community church were entertained at a social Tuesday Tues-day evening at the home of Miss Ida Hoffman following the regular regu-lar meeting.
