Show LITTLE GIRL HAS NARROW DEATHESCAPE Carol Laxman, 18-month Old Great-Great Granddaughter . of- Nels Johnson, Saved ' While crossing a bridge at the girls' swimming pool at Mutual Isle. Provo canyon. Thursday evening. Hazel Snow nnd Uomm Peterson of the Bonneville ward M. I. A. were horrified to see the unconscious form of little Carol, 18-months-old dnughter of Mrs. Lucille Laxman, lying on the bottom of the pool. The immediately screamed for belli and lost it time in rescuing the baby. Mrst, Mary Smith and Mrs. J. O. Snow.chaperones of the mutual girls, together with the-mother of the child, hastened to the scene and worked earnestly with the child. In the meanwhile members of the parly had culled n Provo physician, who responded promptly and arrived in time to assist the women in restoring re-storing life into the unconscious and apparently lifeless form. After considerable effort the physician succeeded in completely resuscitating the child nnd ex-pressed ex-pressed the belief that it would completely com-pletely recover unless pnemnonin developed. Mrs. Lnxman resides in Salt Lnke City and is a grand daughter of Nels Johnson of this city. She is spending spend-ing the summer months nt Mutual Isle and reports that in an (Hereditably (Heredit-ably short time Carol had wondered over to the pool and fallen in without with-out any one seeing her until she was found by Miss Snow and Miss Peterson... Little Carol apparently wns as usual Friday evening. |
