Show - eiV Corps Officer Weds ' North Carolina Girl LEGION AUXILIARY INSTALLS OFFICERS At the regular meeting of the Legion auxiliary held last Wednesday Wed-nesday evening, at Memorial hall, new officers of, the unit for the ensuing year were installed. Mrs. Hazel Hughes of Spanish Fork, district 'president, officiated at the installation. Mrs. Emma Long was installed president Mrs. Delia Clark and Mrs. Esther Johnson, vice-presidents; Mrs. Hazel Walker, secretary; secre-tary; Mrs. Manilla Brown, treasurer; treas-urer; Mrs. Beth Berrett, historian; histor-ian; Mrs. Bell Sumsion, chaplain; Mrs. Hazel Roylance ' and Mrs. Ellen Giles, sergeants-at-arms. In connection with the Installation, Instal-lation, a nicely arranged program was given, including vocal selections selec-tions by George Hales, accompanied accompan-ied by Mrs. Julia Sumsion; vocal numbers by Glida Ann Packard, accompanied by Mrs. Betty Sumsion, Sum-sion, and piano numbers by Mar-jorie Mar-jorie Sheppard. PRDIARY HOME BUILDERS ELECT OFFICERS Home Builders of the Fourth ward Primary recently met to elect officers of the group for the year. HOME CULTURE CLUB AT FIRST MEETING The first meeting of the season of the Home Culture club was conducted Friday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Hugh Baxter with Sirs. Ronald Thorpe, president, conducting. An interesting program featured featur-ed Mrs. H. B. Mensel of Provo who spoke on Modern Day Artists. Art-ists. There were two violin numbers num-bers by Mrs. Rex Whiting, accompanied ac-companied at the piano by Mrs. Maurice Bird. FATHER HONORED ON . 70th BIRTHDAY In honor of Arthur Bunker who recently moved here from Delta, members of his family entertained at a surprise party at their residence resi-dence Monday evening, in celebration celebra-tion of his seventieth birthday. A large group of relatives enjoyed en-joyed the evening visiting and with a delicious luncheon. RECOVERING Mr3. Nettie Mangelsen of Le-van, Le-van, daughter of Mrs. Mary Z. Hatfield, is recovering from a major ma-jor operation which she underwent under-went Wednesday morning, at the Payson hospital. Concluding the meeting, tasty refreshments were served by the hostesses, Mrs. Ada Barron, Mrs. Lela Packard and Mrs. Mary Johnson to approximately 30 unit members and guests. AUREOLE CLUB AT FIRST MEETING An interesting meeting was conducted for members of the Aureole club when they met for the first time this season Friday evening, at the home of Mrs. A. C. Chader, club president. The meeting took the form of a social and program with Mrs. Mae Huntington giving an interesting review of the book, "High Time." A nicely arranged lunch was served by the hostess in conclusion conclu-sion to 15 members and guests. No man's opinion is entitled to more weight than the force of the facts that supports it. A group of friends met at the home of Mrs. Margaret Roberts last Saturday evening, and enjoyed enjoy-ed the time with a delicious luncheon lunch-eon and book review, "Disputed Passage," by Lloyd C. Douglas, ,was given in an interesting manner man-ner by Mrs. Jackie Wade.
