Couple Take Wedding Vows April 16 A wedding of interest to friends here is that of Miss Edyth Denny of this city and Paul Brailsford of Provo, which took place at Provo on April 16. Following their marriage, the couple spent a few days' honey moon in Nevada and Cali- fornia, and are now making their home in Springville. Complimenting the bride, a shower Was given on Friday evening eve-ning in the First ward hall, with Mrs. Thelma Beardall, foster-mother foster-mother of the bride, and the bridegroom's bride-groom's mother of Provo, acting as co-hosteses. "The bride greeted her friends in an attractive beige suit with green accessories and corsage of gardenias gar-denias and red roses. Mrs. Beardall, Bear-dall, in green crepe, and Mrs. Brailsford in navy with rosebud corsages, assisted. An entertaining program was given during the evening, including a vocal duet by the Mises Donna Robbins and LaRae Allan, accom- panied by Mrs. Harvey Robins; dance solo, Barbara Taylor, accompanied ac-companied by Mrs. Utahna Felix; a reading, Miss Afton Ash; piano solo, Miss June Thorn. Mrs. Floss Philips gave a tribute to the bride and furnished the principal number num-ber on the program, in the form of a book review. Mrs. Beardall was in charge. Tasty refreshments were served during the evening, with girl friends of the bride, Elaine Ken-worthy, Ken-worthy, Joan Brown. Joyce Park, Pauline Kelly and Jennie and Lois Lowe, assisting. A lovely assortment of gifts were received and arranged on long tables. The entire hall was pretty with spring flowers and ferns, especially es-pecially arranged for the occasion. |
