Show Local Qouple Wed in Loyely Home Rites Among marriage announcements of this early spring season is that of Miss Phyllis Boyer, daughter of Mayor and Mrs. Selvoy J. Boyer of this city, and Donovan L. Humphrey, Humph-rey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dell Humphrey, also of this city. The marriage took place on4 Monday, Feb. 18, by candlelight, in a double-ring ceremony performed per-formed by Bishop Erwin Sheffield of the Sixth ward, at the home of the bride's parents. Immediate family members and close friends of the couple were in attendance. The tiride was attired in a beautiful beau-tiful white georgette wedding gown trimmed with lace and accentuated ac-centuated with a pretty shoulder-length shoulder-length veil, which was fashioned to her head with an arrangement of gardenias. She carried a bridal bouquet of pink roses centered by an orchid. Her attendant was Mrs. Keith Boyer, as matron of honor, and she wore a pink formal with a rose and gardenia corsage. Richard Rich-ard Miner was best man. , Mrs. Boyer and Mrs. Humphrey, mothers of the bride and groom, wore black formals with rose and gardenia corsages. The couple stood before a background back-ground of palms, ferns, roses and carnations, in colors of pink and white, and white burning tapers in tall candlebra spread a soft glow over the entire setting. Immediately after the wedding, the couple was honored with a wedding dinner which was attended attend-ed toy approximately thirty members mem-bers of the wedding party. After a short wedding trip, the newlyweds will be at home in Brookside. Complimenting the bride and groom, Miss Mary Boyer entertained enter-tained a group of relatives and friends Wednesday evening. Also several other functions are being planned for the newlyweds. |
