Show Young Couple Feted at Wedding ception In Trovo Third Ward . j Nearly 250 friends and relatives extended congratulations and best wishes to Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Adams at a wedding reception held Saturday Sat-urday night in the Provo Third ward. The young couple were married Monday, September 14, at Farm-ington. Farm-ington. Mrs. Adams is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Barrett of Provo and Mr. Adams is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew P. Adams of Springville. Charmingly attired in a beautiful beauti-ful white satin wedding gown en train with lace insets, the young bride also wore a fingertip veil with a crown of seed pearls and carried a bouquet of talisman rosebuds tied with floor-length white satin ribbon. Bridesmaids were Hazel Clinger and Wilma Barrett and they wore formals of white net and velvet and blue taffeta, respectively. Mrs. Marjorie Kirby, twin sister of the bride, was matron of honor and she wore a model of blue taffeta. taf-feta. All three girls wore corsages of talisman roses. Also in the receiving line were Neldon Adams, best man, Mr. and Mrs. Barrett and Mr. and Mrs. Adams, parents of the young couple. Mrs. Barrett chose blue chiffon, and Mrs. Adams Black crepe for their gowns, and both f wore corsages of varigated rosebuds. rose-buds. Mrs. Anna Adams, Betty Rae Adams, and Reeda Bjarnson were in charge of the gift room. Presiding at the refreshment table, which was covered with a lovely lace cloth and centered with asters arid chrysanthemums, were Mary Lou Barrett, and June Richins. Curt Curtis was master of ceremonies, cere-monies, and his orchestra furnished furnish-ed music for dancing during the evening. S. T. CLCB ENTERTAINED Mrs. Gwen Baxter was hostess to members of the Social Twelve club at her home Thursday evening. eve-ning. Following a delicious dinner, served at 8 o'clock, progressive bridge was played, with high score for the games going to Mrs. Floss Phillips. President Gertrude Sumsion conducted a short business meeting meet-ing during the evening and it was decided to entertain at a husbands' party on Saturday evening, October Oc-tober 12. The next regular club meeting was announced for October 16, at the home of Mrs. Lois Clegg. MISS BARTHOLOMEW HOSTESS TO FRIENDS An informal delightful party of the past week was that given by-Miss by-Miss Vera Bartholomew Friday night at her home for a group of friends. The girls cooked their own dinner, din-ner, and it was served at one long table. After the dinner, miscellaneous games were played and dancing was enjoyed. HOME CULTURE TO ENTERTAIN JUNIOR CLUBS In honor of the two Springville Junior Federated clubs, Kappa Phi Lambda and Cultural Arts, the Home Culture club will entertain enter-tain at a tea from four to six Friday Fri-day afternoon at the home of Mrs. D. B. Welch. All members of the three clubs are invited to be present. |
