Mapleton Church Wedding Unites Bernice Hall and L. R. Beckstead Charming in every detail was the church wedding of Bernice Hall and Lee Ray Beckstead in the Mapleton Church Saturday night. The marriage ceremony was performed per-formed by Bishop Reed Bennett early in the evening and was followed by a reception which was attended by numerous friends and relatives. Bernice is the charming daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Armond Hall of Mapleton and Lee Ray is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Orson Beckstead of Payson. The bridal pair were married under a floral arch of pink carnations and green fern. The bride was beautiful in a gown fashioned of white lace and tulle over taffeta. Her tulle skirt was waltz length with lace inserts, and her lace bodice was form fitting with a mandarin man-darin collar and long pointed sleeves. A smart Juliet crown was attached to a filmy fingertip finger-tip veil. She carried a bridal bouquet of yellow and bronze roses. The newlyweds were attended atten-ded by their parents; also Lynn Beckstead, best man; and the following bridesmaids, Jeanette Strong, who was maid of honor and JoAnn Shepherd, Helen Sundblom, Bonnie Burrows, and Fraya Hall, who was junior jun-ior bridesmaid. They were all attractive in waltz length pastels pas-tels and wore corsages of yellow rose-buds, circled by pink and white carnations. Special guests at the wedding were grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jessie Finlayson of Pay-son Pay-son and a great aunt, Mrs. Adella Waterlyn of Provo. Greeting guests at the door were an aunt and uncle Mr. and Mrs. Ross Hall. Presiding at the guest book were Mr. and Mrs. Carl Loback of Salt Lake City. Gift girls were Connie Talbot, Maurine Beckstead, Susan Hall, Marsha Hall and Kathaleen Burton. Arranging gifts were Mrs. Max Alvey, Mrs. Hugh Heath and Mrs. Frank Davies. Guests were served refreshments refresh-ments at small tables centered with pink and white sweet peas. The lace covered serving table was adorned with a beautiful three-tiered pink and white wedding cake topped with a tulle trimmed heart and wedding wed-ding bells. After a short honeymoon the young couple will make their home in Payson. |
