Net and gold Christmas Christ-mas balls and an arrangement of pink carnations and violets formed the centerpiece. Mrs. Grant Palfreyman presided over the crystal punch bowl. Serving were Ann Palfreyman, Mrs. Ted Martindale, Mrs. La-Var La-Var Davies and Mrs. Dale Hardy. Other parties were given by friends of the bride Lona Lee Child and Lois Greenhalgh. The bride and groom are both graduates of the high school where they were active in extra curricular work. Mary Lynn was senior class secretary, secre-tary, and is presently employed in the bank. Reception honors newlyweds, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Jensen One of the lovliest nuptial events of the pre-Christmas season was the wedding reception re-ception for Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Mar-vin O. Jensen Saturday evening, even-ing, in the Kolob Stake House. The young couple took wedding vows in the Manti LDS temple tem-ple earlier that day. The bride is the former Miss Mary Lynn Blackett, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Blackett Black-ett of this city and Marvin's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Ruel Jensen of Mapleton. Following the reception, the young couple honeymooned in Las Vegas and the groom is now continuing his studies at Snow College. For the all-important wedding wed-ding date, the attractive young bride chose an exquisite gown of antique taffetta featuring a sabrina neckline and long pointed sleeves. Hand-clipped Chantilly lace formed a panel down the bodice and skirt front enhanced by delicate pearl and sequin trim. A dropped drop-ped waist-line and full sweeping sweep-ing skirt falling into a chapel train from a bustle bow, completed com-pleted details of the gown. A lace cap with pearl and sequin se-quin trim held the filmy veil of illusion. The bride carried a his brother and John T. Smith and Grant Palfreyman were ushers. The couple stood before a fluffy net archway with clusters clus-ters of white wedding bells and red satin bows. Serving was from a table centered with a fruit plate entwined en-twined with holly. Mrs. Dale Hardy presided over the punch bowl and Mrs. Harold Jordan and Mrs. LaMar Davies, the buffet table. Mrs. Dennis Robertson Ro-bertson was hostess in the dining room assisted by Bonnie Bon-nie Barney, Lucile Davies, Gayle Whiting, LaRae Diamond, Dia-mond, Marsha Jenkins and De-anne De-anne Ames. On the bride's table covered with white nylon over green satin, was a beautiful 3-tier-ed white and green wedding cake. Enhancing the beauty of the Christmas time decor, was a huge white flocked tree with red ornaments. Christmas lamps tied with red bows entwined en-twined with green, lighted the entire hall. Mrs. Julia Sumsion played Christmas music on the organ or-gan throughout the evening. Mrs. Kenneth Woods and Mrs. Lewis Wing were in bouquet featuring a white orchid or-chid encircled by red rosebuds and stephanotis. Her attendants, attired in red velvet and carrying red fur muffs with sprigs of holly, were Mrs. John T. Smith, a sister, matron of honor; Mrs. John Findlayson and Carol Jensen, sisters of the groom, Lois Greenhalgh, Lona Lee Child, Ann Palfreyman, bridesmaids brides-maids and Jane Blackett, a sister of the bride, junior bridesmaid. Jay Jensen was best man for charge of gifts assisted by Mrs. Reed Jex, Mrs. Roe All-man, All-man, Gloria Sargent, Joan Gus-tavson Gus-tavson and Mary Johnson. David Da-vid and Kathy Jensen received the gifts. Greeting guests in the bride's trousseau room were MJr. and Mrs. Ted J. Martindale, uncle and aunt of the bride.
