Show FUNERAL SERVICES FRIDAY FDR FLOYD L MINER Floyd Lee Miner, 62, prominent civic and L. D. S. church worker, died Tuesday morning of a heart ailment at the family residence, South Main street. He had been in ill health for some time. Mr. Miner was born in Springville, Spring-ville, January 16, 1884, a son of the early settlers, Moroni , and Nancy Chase Miner. He has made his home here always, taking active ac-tive part in various civic affairs and in church organizations.' He served as a district teacher, has been a counselor in the Elder's Eld-er's quorum, has worked as a home missionary, and was a high priest. He has served as superintendent superin-tendent of Kolob stake Y. M-M. M-M. I. A. Mr. Miner was secretary and later vice-president of the Springville Spring-ville Livestock association, and was also a member of the federal farm loan association. In 1929. he opened Miner's Market Mar-ket and he operated this retail grocery business until his retirement retire-ment about two years ago. He was a member of the R.ed & White store regional board of directors for a number of years and took active part in the Springville Chamber of Commerce. He was also affiliated with the Kiwanis club a number of years- He married Margaret A. Johnson John-son in the Manti temple on June 30, 1909. and is survived by his widow and five sons and daughters. daugh-ters. F. Lee Miner. LaMar J. Funeral services will be conducted con-ducted Friday at 2 p. m-, in the Second ward chapel, directed by Bishop O. H. Dalton. Friends may call at the family residence on South Main street, before the services. Burial will be in the Evergreen cemtery, directed di-rected by A. Y. Wheelr and Son mortuary. |
