Show Funeral Services Held on Monday For Rueben Ochse Well attended services were conducted in the First ward chapel Monday afternoon for Reuben Ochse, 79, long time resident of Springville, who died Friday night at the Hardy Rest Home in Orem, of ailments incident to age. He her been at the rest home about two months, but had been in ill health for some time. Mr. Ochse was born in Victoria, South Africa, January 27, 1872, a 1 son of Edward and Christina Tru-der Tru-der Ochse. He spent the early part of his life in Africa coming to the United States in 1907. He married Jessie Hurry at Pro-vo, Pro-vo, in 1908, and they have made their home in Springville for the past 44 years, residing at Sixth East, Ninth South street. Mr. Ochse was a member of the LDS church. He had worked in various positions on the railroad and also on construction work. He is survived by his widow and one son and two daughters: Mrs. Karl Bush of Scipio; Mrs. Donald Ostler of Springville and Walter Ochse of Oakland, Calif., also nine grandchildren and three sisters, Mrs. Ida Quick of Ogden and two sisters in Africa. Burial was in the Evergreen cemetery. |
