Show Funeral rites held here for Naomi Deal Funeral services were conducted con-ducted at the Wheeler Mortuary Mortu-ary Saturday afternoon, for Noami Deal, 72, former resi- dent or springviue, wno aiea in Los Angeles, Calif., on Thursday of last week. Bishop Calvin Packard of the Ninth ward, was in charge of the services. Burial was in the Evergreen cemetery. She was born in Springville Sept. 16, 1888, a daughter of Luciean D. and Ruth Coats Deal and spent her early life in Springville. She had made her home for about 40 years in Los Angeles, where she taught school. She and her sister Ella D. Strain who survives spent some time in Springville recently, but returned to the coast some months ago. Some experts believe that if all the polls taken were laid end to end they would still lie.
