Show Former printer notes 80th birthday here A grandson of original pioneers pion-eers of Springville, A. G. Johnson John-son celebrated his 80th birthday birth-day Thursday with a family party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. E. White in Roy, Utah. A life-long resident of Springville, Spr-ingville, Mr. Johnson was born here Nov. 22, 1882, a son of Don C. and Lydia Boyer Johnson. John-son. He married Floss Packard in 1911. She passed away about three years ago. His grandfather, Bishop Aaron Aar-on Johnson, with eight other families, settled in Springville in 1850. D. C. Jortnson, father of A. G. Johnson, was the bishop's eldest son. A. G. Johnson, with his father, fa-ther, published the Springville Independent newspaper for 20 years from 1902 to 1922 in this city. After that time he continued in the job printing business until his retirement three years ago. |
