The increase in the general fund is mainly due to added expenditure in the civil court, to the crop pest inspector's office, elections, two-year audit, the Argyle suit, expenses for . the Utah lake project and water storage survey. This year being a general election year, the election expenses will be . more than $4,000 higher than they were in 1923. Two thousand dollars dol-lars has been set aside for the suit which the county lost to Ben E. Ar- i ryle, former county surveyor.
