This is the first year for this award. Nachelle and Natalie have been very busy maintaining 4.0 GPAs, participating in the National Honors Society, Letterman's Club, FCCLA, volunteering for the Memorial Day 5K run, the DARE program, running in a half marathon, assisting at the Beehive Home, tying quilts, and helping the Sub for Santa and many other programs. They are very willing to volunteer their time to community and church. In their spare time, they have accomplished 14 combined track titles and participated in the Hershey Track and Namon Bills / Spanish Fork News EXCELLENCE: Everett Kelepolo awarded Natalie and Nachelle Stewart the Nebo Award of Excellence in Athletics. Field Nationals five times receiving top marks. Natalie and Nachelle hold five state records in track. Natalie and Nachelle have helped their teammates win three State Championships, three Region Championships and the Utah State Western Re- gional Team Champions in track. Nachelle has received the Holley Sportsmanship Recognition Award, Gatorade Athlete of the year, Team MVP, and Academic All State Team. Natalie has received Team MVP, Asicis Female Athlete of the week, UHSTCA Athlete of the Meet, Academic All State, and Co-Outstanding Female Athlete at SFHS. Congratulations! We at Nebo School District and Spanish Fork High School are very proud of your accomplishments! Coach DelRoy Anderson On behalf of Nebo School District, Spanish Fork coaching staff and Spanish Fork High School, DelRoy Anderson has been nominated into the Hall of Fame for his 25 plus years of coaching at Spanish Fork High School. This is the first year for this award. Football and track were his mainstays, although he was head coach for wrestling, football, track, baseball and assistant coach in basketball. He was also the athletic director for many years. DelRoy started his athletic career at the University of Utah playing football and boxing. He lettered three years in football. When Coach Anderson started his career at Spanish Fork, the athletic program needed help. He faced many challenges during his career of coaching. He stayed the course and developed a top notch athletic program. He coached six of the coaches that are now coaching at Spanish Fork High School. As coach, he won multiple region championships in various sports and two state championships in track. His influence is widely found throughout the high school athletic program. Coach Anderson married Afton, and together they have five children, 12 grandchildren, and 11 greatgrandchildren. Kids will learn such golf fundamentals as stance, gripping, pitching, chipping, putting, and swinging, participants also learn golf safety, etiquette and discipline.
