He will be speaking Sunday, Oct. 18 at 11 a.m. in the Meadowlark 1st Ward 870 East Canyon Road, Spanish Fork. He is the son of Todd and Janalee Sermersheim and the grandson of Alan and Susan Johnson, Jerry Sermersheim and Judy and Norm Cole. Elder Sermersheim will enter the MTConOct.21. Tyler Holley Barney • Elder Tyler Holley Barney has recently returned from serving in the Argentina Buenos Aires North Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He will be speaking in the Canyon Ward located at 3477 East River Bottom Road in Spanish Fork at 1 p.m. on Sunday Oct. 18. Ballot boxes are located at the Chamber office, Maceys, Cary's Designs Floral and Susan's Hair Designs. Florence Cope will celebrate her 90th birthday on Oct. 15. She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to John B. and Florence Gifford Fairbanks. She married James Austin Cope, Jr. on Oct. 22, 1941 in the Salt Lake Temple. After her husband's return from the military service, they made their home in Spanish Fork. A member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Florence has served in various Relief Society leadership positions in her ward and stake, and as a teacher in various organizations. She served missions in Lansing, Michigan and San Antonio, Texas with her husband. Florence graduated from BYU with a degree in home management and food and nutrition. She is an excellent cook and is known for her homemade bread, rolls, pies, marvelous hand dipped chocolates and English toffee. After her 60th birthday, she learned to tole paint and play the piano. He is the son of Mark and DeeAnn Binks. of Shakespeare. Florence was a devoted wife and loved and cared for her husband, Jim until his recent passing. She is adored by her children, Ann Etta (David, deceased) Merrill, Jay (Sharon) Cope, Nellie (Mike) Golden, Maurine "(Ron) Hatfield, Bernard (Norma) Cope, NaDene (Gary) Simmons, Patricia (Ron) Sanders, Jon (Nadene) Cope. Val (Marilyn) Cope, Vic (Elizabeth) Cope, Richard (Sheila) Cope, Janet Cope (deceased), and Todd (Denise) Cope. Florence has many descendants who call her grandma and great grandma. She will celebrate her birthday at a family dinner.
