Show Chapter of American Junior Red Cross during the annual fund raising rais-ing drive, Oct. 30 to Nov. 2. The money will be used for Xmas gifts for children at the S.L. County General Hospital, decorations for dances at the Veterans Hospital, and transportation costs for students stu-dents who will present a program at the Old Folks Home. Dorothy Walton, Bill Forrest and Bonnie Bettilyon were in charge of the drive. ( Jb "Teen-Talkers" HIGHLAND HIGH Reported by Dotti Duncan Speaking of talent Last Wednesday, Wed-nesday, Highland had its first talent assembly. Students from all grades participated, making a variety of numbers. The program included vocal solos, modern dance numbers, readings, piano solos, an accordiqn number, a ballet dance, vocal duets, and quartets. A matinee dance was also held Wednesday afternoon. Our yearbook staff is working diligently to get our yearbook under un-der way. All individual pictures have been taken and some of our more artistic students are design, ing the cover. v A group of students from Mrs. Ivie's biology classes had the honor of appearing in the window of the Utah Power and Light Company These rooms are needed to accomodate accom-odate the additional 250 students that are expected in 1957-58. These rooms will include a large choral room and perhaps one room to be used as an art gallery. The others will be regular classrooms. This wing will extend North into the present parking lot and will be 100 feet in length. Tickets will be available at the door for those wishing to spend an enjoyable evening seeing a former Broadway hit, "You Can't Take It With You," on Thursday and Friday, Nov. 29 and 30, in the Olympus auditorium. A cast of superior quality has been selected to produce the comedy. This annual an-nual event promises a pleasant evening eve-ning to all. Due to several students requests, a matinee dance will be provided for the students' enjoyment Friday, November 30. A Disc jockey from KALL will play the top records of the week. Olympus high school students contributed $210.68 to the Olympus during Education Week. A group also appeared on television. This was to show parents how classrooms class-rooms are conducted and how their children are taught. OLYMPUS HIGH SCHOOL Kathleen Hinckley, reporter This report was written by Carolyn Howard.
