Show In a recent issue of the Salt Lake Herald, Jesse M. Smith, president of the Utah "Wool Grower's Association, Asso-ciation, expressed himself as follows fol-lows on the question of our congressman con-gressman and the local forest reserves re-serves : "Yes, there is a great deal of unfriendly feeling among the wool-growers against Mr. Sutherland. Our members feel that after we spent our money and used our votes and influence to elect Mr. Sutherland Suther-land he ought to have exerted himself to prevent such action as would be detrimental detri-mental to our interests. It is the Democrats Demo-crats who asked to have the mountain lands set apart for forest reservations, without regard to the needs of the general gene-ral situation, and here we have a Republican Repub-lican representative pleading for their desires and against the interests of the people who elected him. Hereafter the members of the Utah Wool Growers' association as-sociation will not support any man for office who, after a trial, opposes their very existence." |
