Show IDAHO NOTES. The postoflice at Hunter has been given up by Mr. C. Zenger, its present postmaster, and he has given notice that if the residents near that place wish it continued, they must have a new man appointed. The Boise Statesman says: Caldwell can boast of one industry from which the residents of Boise are happily debarred, de-barred, and that, so says tho Caldwell Tribune, of "stealing coal from passing freight trains.,' We have the privilege of burning wood or freeziug. but the privilege of stealing coal is denied us. On Jan. 1, 1H0O. the census of Fagle Rock was 472. and that of Eagle Rock, Willow Creek and Market Lake precincts pre-cincts 2520. Out of this number the mortality record for tho census year, beginning June 1, W.i, and ending June 1, 1WI0, shows but thirteen deaths in the three precincts, making an average aver-age of ono death for every lid and eleven thirteenths of people within the three prec'mts. The legislature will convene on the 8th of December. |
