placer gold at that place and if all accounts are true this is one of the most valuable discoveries yet made in placer diggings in the west Mr Wadley became imbued sometime some-time ago by the idea that by sinking through the top soil to the bedrock below he would find rich gravel deposits depos-its and although meeting with frequent fre-quent discouragements he finally struck pay dirt at a
