Show U. P Officials in Town. Yesterday Yes-terday Col. C G. Hammond, General Superintendent of the Union Pacific railroad, J. K. Nichols, assistant superintendent, super-intendent, 0 F. Davis, land commissioner, commis-sioner, Joseph Musgrave, travelling auditor, and T. W. Cooke, general agent at Ogden, were in town with their ladies, the gentlemen on business and the laiies to enjoy their society and the pleasure of the trip. They ariived in the Uuion Pacific office's' urawing room and dining car. a model of beauty, strength, comfort and safety, being provided with all the accessories to luxurious traveling and having an arsenal attached with the rifles ready, in case of an Indian attack on the road. They had a very pleasant visit to the city, had the company of Pre i-dents i-dents Young and Smith and other gentlemen for a time, and left last evening for Ogden |
