Show Hereford Sale Rates Top Billing At Ogden Show Utah Hereford Growers arc prominently listed a consignors to the 15th annual purebred Hereford cattle sale to be staged as a leading attraction of Ogden's annual livestock show, November Novem-ber 15 to 19. The Hereford auction will be held November 18, starting at 10 a. m., under sponsorship of the Intermountain .Hereford Breeders' Association. Sales animals an-imals will include 15 pens-of-five bulls, 18 pens-of-three bulls. 8 pens-of-three heifers, and 7 pens-of-five heifers. Utahns listed as consignors are Max Anderson, Tremonton; Blaine V. Glassman, Weber Co.; Lloyd Berrett, Sunset; Peterson Bros., Ogden; Vearl A. Peterson, Gunnison; Merlin Sorenson, Sa-lina; Sa-lina; W. C. Pack, Richmond; Wil-berg Wil-berg Bros., Castle Dale; Ray Van Noy, Salt Lake City; H. B. and Bryant Lamb, Wales; W. A. Neilson, Tremonton; Kenneth Blonquist. Coalville; J. E. Rees & Sons, Morgan; Charles Redd, LaSal; Gardell Snow. Ferron; Jensen Bros., Logan; Floyd N. Hoyt, Kamas; Winterton Bros., Kamas. The Ogden Livestock Show program will include contests for breed, fat and feeder cattle, a four-breed sheep department and a large division of fat swine. Total prizes for both open and junior department will be approximately ap-proximately $25,000, of which $7,000 is for boys and girls who enter their animals In the junior department. Breeds recognized in the purebred pure-bred sheep department are Ram-bouillets, Ram-bouillets, Columblas, Hamp-shires, Hamp-shires, and Suffolks. The purebred pure-bred sheep classes are being reinstated re-instated for the first time since 1941. Final day for mailing an entry notice for participation in any class or department of the Ogden show is November 1. |
