Show marriage announced - Announcement is made this I week of the marriage of Miss iDelphia Collins, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alma Collins, of Salt Lake City, to Kenneth Harris, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Harris, of Myton. The lovely double ring ceremony cere-mony was performed Friday evening, eve-ning, February 28, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. The bride, a former resident of Roosevelt, was lovely in an exquisite bridal gown of white taffeta, fashioned with long sleeves, pointed at the wrist, tight bodice and full skirt. The new Mrs. Harris is a graduate of the Roosevelt high school and has attended the B. Y. U. at Provo. Mr. Harris is also a graduate of the Roosevelt high school, and at present is a student at the University of Utah. He was released re-leased recently from service with the U. S. Navy. The young couple, both popular pop-ular members of the younger set, with many friends in this area, ar-ea, are now at home at their residence resi-dence at 136 South 3rd East in Salt Lake City. D U P Roosevelt camp of the D U P held its regular meeting Feb. 28 at the home of Mrs. Olive Harrison, Harri-son, with Captain Lila Nickell E residing. The lesson was given y Mildred Smith, followed by the showing of old time pictures and a discussion of the history. Pictures were taken of the members mem-bers in pioneer costumes, The business meeting was followed fol-lowed by a lovely lunch served by Olive Harrison, Thelma Roberts Rob-erts and Myrtle Lambert. Members present were Alice Labrum, Clara Timothy, Helen Howell, Sarah Johnson, Lucy Mitchell, Ramola Walker, Mildred Mil-dred Smith, Louise Bushaman, Lila Nickell, Pearl Redmond, Al-ta Al-ta Phillips, Pearletta Workman, LaVon Murray, Margaret Wis-combe, Wis-combe, Tina Wilkins, Genena Gilbert and the hostesses. |
