Kay Durrant, 21, son of Mr. and Mrs. K. N. Durrant, win serve in the ' southern states with his headauarters at Atlanta. Georaia. r.dmr Durrant is a araduate of the Wasatch high school and has served two years in tne u. s. navy where he sailed on major part of his time between San Francisco and Guam. Elks Memorial Rites Tonight Annual memorial services, honoring hon-oring the memory of departed members of. the Provo Elks lodge, will be held tonight , at 7:30 at the Elks home, as announced in Friday's Herald. Young Elected Wasatch Trustee HEBER Wilson Young was the successful candidate in the recent school board election for Wasatch county, polling 118 of the 294 votes cast in the district. Mr. Wilson Wil-son was opposed by four other candidates, Wendell Duke, Willis Clyde, Andrew Mohr and Ford Fisher. A fifth candidate, Marden Broadbent, withdrew his name from the, ticket some time ago. Mr. Young is a native of Wasatch Was-atch county and is well known for his past work in the schools of this district as student coordinator, co-ordinator, accountant and bus driver, as well as for his work in the various church organizations. organiza-tions.
