Te inquest in-quest was held this afternoon over the remains of Lawrence Madison, the conductor con-ductor on John W. Young's railroad, who was killed near Fort Douglas, on Saturday last. It appears that dirt had been washed down under the track at the crossing, and that when the train struck this obstruction, the first cars were derailed. Madison was thrown from the track and frightfully mangled, both legs and his left arm being seyered from his body. |
