Show Editorials (CONTINUED) Many good poems by real poets are coming out of Russia. Rus-sia. One is called The Song of the Motherland. It brought back a memory of forty years ago when we wrote some verses for a contest. TIip first verse ran as follows: Hail to thee, my Mother Land On whose hallowed soil I stand; Thrilled by thy storied past, Thy glory uusurpassed, All my reverence goes to thee For the truih that I am freel I pledge my heart and hand For I love thee, Mother Land! .lust as some people felt assured that thaMillenium w nild he ushered in most any day, along comes religious philosopher and says, "A millennial can come tohe earth i only as mankind arhcives it." |
