Show I Pleasant Grove Locals t t i Elder Gootch of Idaho, has been a guest at the Niels Fugal home for the past week. Mrs. Delbert Fugal of Nephi, spent part of the past week with her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Nathaniel West. Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Jacobs were Salt Lake visitors Thursday. Mrs. Emily Aston and son, Zelmar, motored to Magna Thursday and spent the day visiting with relatives. Jesse K. Thorne gave a talk on the manners and customs of the people of Holland at the Windsor ward church Sunday evening. Fey Harris, who has been visiting with relatives in the Windsor ward for the past week, returned to his w:rk in Carbon County Monday. The Windsor ward presented the play "Just of the Earth", at their ward chapel Wednesday evening. The proceeds will be used for Sunday Sun-day School supplies. Twelve neighbors and relatives gave a pleasant surprise on Mrs. Pearl Wadley Wednesday evening. The time was spent in progressive games and social chat. A picnic luncheon was served. The Utah Sorosis Club of Provo will entertain the Business and Professional Pro-fessional womens club at the home of Mrs. Joseph Clark of Provo next ' Saturday afternoon. Miss Arvilla Clark, Miss Estelle Fenton and Mrs. Mary J. Cooper will be among the guests. The Primary officers and teachers of the Lindon ward held a business meeting and social Wednesday evening eve-ning at the home of Bishop and Mrs. David B. Thome. After the business had been taken care of a social hour and refreshments were . enjoyed. Elders Smith and Allen, who were missionary companions of Jesse K. .Thorne in the Dutch Eiission were , dinner guests at the hoiv.e cf Bishop. I and Mrs. D. B. Thorne Saturday. . Elder Thome accompanied them" to , Salt Lake where; they spent Sunday with other missionary friends. The Vanguards were entertained Tuesday evening by the Beehive girls I at a social. The evening was I spent in games. Light refreshments jwere served. On Thursday evening eve-ning the Vanguards will entertain the Bee Hive girls at Thornton's Cabaret at a social and dance. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Smith entertained enter-tained a few friends after mutual Tuesday evening. The group included includ-ed Edna and Emma Walker, Melba Fugal, Emily Wright, Lamar Moyle, Leslie Smith, Niel Fugal, Mr. and Mrs. Martelle Ellis and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hardman. The priests of the Windsor ward and their partners enjoyed a social at the home of Howard Harper their president last Tuesday evening. The evening was spent in games and social chat. Refreshments were served serv-ed to thirty-five guests. j Mrs. Pearl Wadley was pleasantly surprised Wednesday when neighbors neigh-bors and friends arrived unannounced unannounc-ed bringing picnic and fun with them. The Second ward is preparing to hold a banquet Saturday evening, March 11th. Mrs. La Rens Cooper of Ogden, spent the week-end with her mother, Mrs. Mary J. Cooper. Mrs. Ethel Brinley who has been ill with influenza is reported to be slowly improving in health. ! Joseph D. Fags has been con-; con-; fined to his home for the past ten days with an attack of gall stones. I George Nielson, son of Mrs. Hen-son Hen-son Nielson, had his tonsils removed re-moved Tuesday morning at Dr. Anderson's An-derson's office. Mrs. Ida Smith and daughter, Alary, will leave the last of the week for California to visit indefinitely with their son and brother. Mr. and Mrs. Renard Tomlinson are rejoicing over the arrival of a fine baby boy, born Monday. Mother and baby are doing nicely. Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Robertson visited vis-ited last Friday evening with Mr. Robertson's brother and I'sistejr-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. D. A. Robertson of Provo. Harold S. Walker accompanied Utah County Farm Bureau officials to Salt Lake last Friday to visit the Legislature in regard to Farm Bureau legislation. Mrs. George Baliff of Provo as speaker and a group of musicians will give the M. I. A. conjoint program pro-gram in the Third ward next Sunday Sun-day evening, March 5. Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Swenson of Provo, are proud parents of a baby boy born Monday. The baby's grandmother, grand-mother, Mrs. J. P. Fugal, has been . at the Swenson home for a few days. Mrs. Swenson and the new arrival are at the Crane Maternity hospital. Mrs. Laura Robertson accompan-' accompan-' ied the following young people on the Junior Temple Excursion to the Salt Lake Temple last Saturday. Mrs. Martha Johnson had the misfortune to step on a needle early last Tuesday morning. Dr. B. C. I Linebaugh was called in and cut! the needle from her foot. He then) bound up the foot and took her to work at the Lindon Grade school. She is wearing her shoe again and no harmful results have occured. The Lcs Sisilean unit of the B.I Y. U. of which Miss Gennieve Fugal Fu-gal is secretary, gave a musical program pro-gram over K-S-L last Sunday evening eve-ning at 9 p. m. Elmer Miller gave the talk. After the program the unit group and their partners, chaperoned chap-eroned by Miss Margaret Summer-hays Summer-hays and Mr. Miller and wife, enjoyed en-joyed a dinner at Coon Chicken Inn in Salt Lake City. Mrs. George B. Fage entertained at a family dinner Saturday evening eve-ning in honor of her husband's birthday. The evening was spent in visiting and social chat. Russell Jacobs, who was ill all last week with influenza, is back to work at the Thornton Drug Store this week. The Junior High school of Lehi under direction of Cecil Clark, will j present the chapel program to the I Junior High school at Pleasant Grove from 2:45 to 3:30 Friday afternoon, after-noon, March 3rd. Mrs. Lurena Warnick is attending jthe school for 4-H leaders this week 'which is being held at the Agricultural Agricul-tural College at Logan. Her sister, jWilma Eldredge of Granger, is at the Warnick home this week. The Gold and Green Ball of the Timpanogos Stake M. I. A. will take ! place March 17th at the High School j gym. The entertaining rooms were decorated with motifs in remembrance re-membrance of St. Patrick's day. The same color scheme was carried out in the luncheon.
