Show I XEWELL ADAMSON, BRIDE HONORED AT RECEPTION Simplicity and easy hospitality marked the wedding reception given Thursday evening by Mr. and Mrs. Hovt Shields, honoring their daughter Eloise and Newell Adamson, Adam-son, who were married on May 2. The pleasant affair was held in the First ward recreation hall, where baskets filled with peonies, snowballs and 'bridal wreaths lent enchantment to the scene. In the receiving line, friends were greeted by Mr. and Mrs Shields, the grooms parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Adamson, the bride and groom, Miss Carol Walker, maid of honor, and bridesmaids, Miss Doris Wadley, Miss Diane Thorne, and Miss Elaine Olpin, all very close schoolmates of the bride. Tom Adamson stood as best man. The youthful bride was lovely in a white wedding gown of satin and net. She carried a bridal boquet of deep red roses and white sweet-peas, sweet-peas, with steamers of white satin ribbon. Miss Wlalker was attired in a blue formal, Miss Wadley in pale green, Miss Thorne chose yellow, while Miss Olpin wore blue. All had corsages of pastel sweetpeas Karl Banks was master of ceremonies, cere-monies, and following the ibridal march, introduced the following program. Vocal solo, Miss Harriet West, acompanied by her mother, Mrs. E. R. West; a reading by Miss Evalyn Smith, violin selection, Miss Georgia Lea Bullock, a vocal solo, Miss Estelle Fenton, Toast to the bridal couple, Mrs. H. S. Walker, a violin and cornet duet by Dena and Douglas Beck. The remainder of the . evening was spent in dancing and viewing the lovely gift display, which was presided over by Mrs. Mary Jorgen-son Jorgen-son and Mrs. Louise Vickland. Receiving Re-ceiving the gifts at the door were Arlena Jorgenson, Joyce Remington and Ellen Brady. Refreshments were in charge of Mrs. Sadie Beck and Mrs. Pearl West. Young ladies who served were, Misses Geraldine Adamson, Mar Weeks, and Shirley Urie. |
